Customisable
Charting and technical analysis can be very personal and as such we give our clients the ability to fully customise their experience. Switch your axis style from linear to percentage, add dynamic line, change the colour of your candlesticks, overlays and chart backgrounds, add chart extensions, and personalise and save specific settings on all our drawing tools and technical indicators. You can save your chart layout as default and also save a number of preferred chart layouts, known as pre-sets, within the chart options.

All of the most popular chart types requested by you are available including line, candle, OHLC, Heiken Ashi and spread charts. Using different chart types can help you to spot significant high and low price levels, plus you can monitor the consistency of our spreads.

Overlays

Technical overlays appear directly over the chart history and can help you find potential support and resistance levels which you might want to use to set your stop losses.

We have built a scanner into our charts that quickly identifies and alerts you to 9 of the more commonly recognisable pattern types and over 50 different Japanese candlestick formations. There is also a complete back testing tool so you can see the success rates of particular patterns.

Chart comparisons (web charts only)
You can drag and drop any number of additional instruments into an existing chart to compare price history, look for correlations and pair trading set-ups. When you open a chart from a watchlist, any customisations such as drawing tools, technical studies or overlays added during your analysis are saved for later use when you close down the chart.
Note that when you open and close a product through the Product Library, the state of the chart will not be saved.
Trade directly from the chart (web charts only)
See your current open positions and edit risk management orders directly from our charts. Setting effective stop loss and take profit orders is more effective when you can see them in relation to your entry point and against recent historical trends.
